"Learning to value even the most commonplace activities - and finding the teachable moments in each of them - has the potential to make the ordinary quite extraordinary."
- Daniel J. Siegel, MD (in forward from 10 Mindful Minutes by Goldie Hawn)

“Knowing how to get along with others gives children a feeling of success and a sense of being in control. It also prepares them for the future. So much depends on our ability to work and play productively with other people and see all sides of a situation. How intelligent we are or what our IQ is has nothing to do with how compassionate or empathetic we are, and vice versa.”
(from 10 Mindful Minutes by Goldie Hawn)

  1. Getting my little ones excited about learning puts a smile on my face! Seeing my 3 year old teach something to my one year old is remarkable! These outdoor activities lend themselves to such positive and fun learning experiences.

    middle and knows."
-Robert Frost, "The Secret Sits" 1936

Frost's words have always encouraged me to keep an open mind and try to look at things from multiple points of view.
